‘We stayed at Muir's Brewhouse over Easter, and the place surprised us a great deal. The pictures on the listing don't do the space justice. It is rustic, tastefully decorated, and has all the modern conveniences you'd expect. Muir and his wife have taken care of many details, including a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. You feel immediately at home, and although you live right next to Muir and his family, you still feel that the place is private. Muir had filled the fridge with breakfast for two days (at least): Local eggs, local sausages, bacon, bread, croissants, milk and juice. Terrific value.’

‘I cannot recommend this gorgeous, self contained cottage enough! My fiancee and I spent two days/nights at The Brewhouse and it was the most idyllic way to spend a weekend in the Somerset countryside. The spacious bedroom on the first floor/split level offers a huge (about 6ft wide!) and really comfortable bed. If you're looking for a self contained space, for no more than two people, in a quiet and really beautiful setting then look no further than The Brewhouse. We absolutely loved our stay !!’

‘The Brewhouse was a perfect holiday. Lazy breakfasts in the sunny courtyard, comfy nights in the enormous bed, and happy days walking along the river. There's so much to do near the house: bike rides, walks, eating at The Talbot... And Muir has a helpful book with all the information you need.’

‘We arrived late on the Friday night wet, cold and tired. What a wonderful sight greeted us! A beautiful annex to an ancient farmhouse, lovingly restored and beautifully furnished. A really spectacular B and B, far superior to any I have stayed in before. The weather was appalling, but we didn't mind at all. There is a great selection of books, a wonderfully comfortable lounge and a lovely fire to curl up in front of. The homemade sticky toffee puddings were a rather wonderful and really kind surprise! We had some stunning walks through the local countryside and great meals in the local town. Would absolutely visit again. Really outstanding place, lovingly cared for and wonderfully presented. Can't wait to visit again.’

‘We absolutely loved our stay. The house is stunning and really homely. The outdoor space is gorgeous, you can help yourself to herbs from the garden, and there is a BBQ which we hope to make use of next time. The trampoline was a bonus for tiring our little one out! Muir was a brilliant host, really friendly and happy to help with anything. We can't wait to go back.’

‘Only one word will justify my experience & this accommodation: EPIC!!! I loved everything about this, with the reality actually proving to be better than the listing, a rare thing indeed. From stunning location to picture postcard surrounding countryside, to a level of homely yet hotel-quality finish and attention to detail that really would put any 5* hotel to shame, Muir and his family have created the perfect place to stay.’

‘We have just returned from the most wonderful country weekend away at the Brewhouse. The Brewhouse itself is situated in a beautiful rural spot and we thoroughly enjoyed having walks on our doorstep. The cottage was charming and Muir had gone to a lot of trouble to make us feel welcome (fantastic welcome hamper - sausages, bacon, eggs, croissants, bread, marmalade, granola, guidebook of restaurants etc) and was on hand when we needed him (we popped over to borrow some wellies which he duly obliged in providing). There were many luxurious touches (white company bedding, pampering bubble bath, free view tv etc) and the cottage itself was large and spacious, clean and warm. We will definitely be back and can not stress what a haven this little cottage is.’

‘Stayed for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed The Brewhouse. It's an exceptional let. It's private and secluded, but also light and spacious. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room are all self-contained rooms, so you feel that you're in a cosy house rather than a small apartment. The setting is idyllic - extremely pretty patios with vines, lovely old stone, in the heart of a beautiful English village. The welcome breakfast package and the complimentary bathroom stuff were magnificent. The wood stove was prepared and ready for use. There's a comprehensive guide to everything you need to know about the Brewhouse and locality. Very big bed. Can't rate this place highly enough. It's really lovely.’
